Hannah Ferrier had a “strange” encounter with “Below Deck” star Rachel Hargrove just months before the chef called “Southern Charm” cast member Austen Kroll a “narcissist.”
“I’ve actually had my own experience with her on social media, which I found really strange,” the “Below Deck Mediterranean” star, 35, tells Page Six.
Back in April 2021, the Australian Bravolebrity, who was doing “market research,” asked her Twitter followers, “Do Americans know what mangroves are?”
The chef, who seemed to have an issue with the question, replied to her tweet, “Grew up with them my whole life as well … I am curious to [sic] why she is making all these questions about Americans?”
Following fan response, Hargrove, 40, clarified in another tweet that her response wasn’t a “jab” at Ferrier, 35, and she’s “just bad at Twitter.”
Talking about the interaction, Ferrier said that the day after her tweet, which she called “not controversial,” had “a million responses.”
She continued, “It’s not stupid. It’s just we’re from different countries. So I found that really strange, because especially in this day and age, to kind of insinuate that I’m taking a whole country where all my supporters are from and calling them stupid on the Internet is kind of a stretch.”
Last month, Hargrove made headlines when she slammed Kroll as the “most narsasitic [sic] t–t on @BravoTV.”
In an alleged text message with a Bravo rep, she wrote, “He was in Tampa and fort lauderdale where I live … we met up … but what was actually good was I met his brewing team.”
“We were all haning [hanging] out. He didn’t like the fact that I don’t party and wasn’t doing his whole thing … being an idiot.”
The Bravolebrity also posted a screenshot of what appeared to be Kroll asking her “[what the f–k]” after sharing with her the tweets she had written about him.
Ferrier has since moved on from her mangroves project and is currently serving as an ambassador to Jenny Craig after using the Max Up program to lose weight after welcoming daughter Ava Grace in October 2020.
“I’ve never been this weight before, and I’ve never had to lose this much weight before, so I feel like I need to bring in the professionals because it’s not my forte,” she tells us. “I needed to rely on someone else that it was their expertise, and that’s where Jenny Craig came in.”
