Halle Bailey’s relationship with YouTube star and rapper DDG is the real deal — at least according to what the “Do It” hitmaker has shared in her latest interview.

The 22-year-old is gracing the September/October issue of @Essence alongside her sister Chloe Bailey. as they engaged in an in-depth conversation with the publication on all things concerning their careers, aspirations, and, of course, their love life.

It’s no secret that Halle has been seeing DDG for a while now, and while fans aren’t in doubt that the two are undeniably smitten with one another, her interview with Essence is the first time that the Georgia native has revealed she’s in love with her beau. “I grew up being on YouTube and would always see the young Black creators and was constantly inspired by them. He was one of them,” Halle shared.

“I completely forgot about him. But then I saw that he was dropping music, and I really gravitated toward this one song. Coincidentally he messaged me — and the rest is history.” When Halle was later asked whether she would consider herself to be in love with DDG, she replied, “Yes. For sure I am.”
