Former NBA Star Went In On The State Of The League

Long before Giannis Antetokounmpo, Brandon Jennings was the biggest name on the Milwaukee Bucks.

Jennings played for the team from 2009 to 2013, averaging 17 points, 3.4 rebounds, and 5.7 assists.

The team never reached the heights they have recently under Antetokounmpo, but Jennings remained a fun and exciting player during his time in Milwaukee.

Jennings doesn’t play in the NBA anymore but he sure has some opinions about the league

“For one whoever made this a players league was the stupidest thing ever for the game of basketball,” Jennings said on Twitter.

“If I’m a fan of the game of basketball why would I go pay to watch players that can Decide whenever they want to play,” he continued.

He added: “It’s only a couple guys in the NBA that love the game!!! Outside of the NBA kids make so much money now you think they care.”

Does Jennings have a point?

A Players’ League

The players currently in the NBA definitely do have a lot of power, Jennings is right about that.

Some of the biggest superstars in the league not only decide how much they play, but they also are seemingly in charge of who they are playing alongside and how the team performs.

Guys like LeBron James and Kevin Durant have been accused of doing this.

While it is true that many players hold a lot of control over their teams, giving them all that ability wasn’t solely their choice.

Front offices throughout the league decided to let this happen and it set the precedent for other teams to follow their lead.

There are both good things and bad things about players having a lot of power.
