Dusan Vlahovic Reveals Why He Snubbed Arsenal For Juventus

Newly signed Juventus striker, Dusan Vlahovic, has explained why he snubbed Arsenal for the Italian Serie A giants.
The Serbian striker said it was an ‘easy’ decision to snub Mikel Arteta’s Gunners for a move to ‘glorious’ Juventus during the January transfer window.

Vlahovic emerged as a key target for Arsenal during the winter transfer window but he opted to join Max Allegri’s Old Lady in a £58 million deal instead.

The 22-year-old, who signed a four-year deal with Juventus, scored 20 times for former club Fiorentina this season.

“There were many rumours about foreign clubs, but the choice was easy because the club and I have a similar DNA,” he said at his unveiling on Tuesday.

“Fight and suffer when needed. I think it’s part of my mentality as well, so the choice was not difficult. I fit in here.

“I spoke to Federico Chiesa before making my decision.”

Arsenal needed a replacement for Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, who after being stripped of the captaincy and being banished from the club’s first team, joined Barcelona on the transfer deadline day on Monday.
