Ckay’s EP ‘CKay The First’ Debuts At No. 4 On Billboard World Albums Chart

Ckay’s first EP ‘CKay The First’ has debuted at number four position on the Billboard World Album Chart.
Nigerian singer, songwriter and producer Chukwuka Ekweani, popularly known as CKay, has debuted on the Billboard World Album Chart after his EP ‘Ckay the First’ made a first-time appearance at No. 4 on the chart.

The Chocolate City music producer cum artiste has been making global waves with his smash hit ‘Love Nwatiti’, whose remix (featuring Axel & Dj Yo!) is currently the most shazamed song in the world, while the original song is cooling at number 50 in the Billboard Hot 100, spending two consecutive weeks on the chart.

In the most recent development, which is a major win for CKay and Afrobeats as a genre, his ‘CKay The First’ EP, which was released in 2019, debuted at the fourth position on the Billboard World Albums chart, trailing Wizkid’s ‘Made in Lagos’ which is also having a great run, having spent a staggering forty-seven weeks on the chart.

The 8-track EP ‘CKay the First’ features self acclaimed Best Rapper In Africa, Blaqbonez, highly talented singer, Barry Jhay, alté machine, BOJ alongside Chocolate City in-house disk jockey, DJ Lambo.

The buzzing CKay is also currently the afrobeats artist with the highest number of monthly listeners on Spotify, garnering over 18 million listeners over Tems, Wizkid, Burna Boy, Davido, and other Afrobeats heavyweights.

CKay is another ambassador for the Afrobeats genre, taking it to a global stage, and we are definitely here for it!
