Chelsea co-owner, Todd Boehly, is keen to sign Manchester United’s Cristiano Ronaldo.
This was disclosed by respected football transfer expert, Nicolò Schira, in a tweet via his Twitter handle at the weekend.
According to Schira, Boehly had met Ronaldo’s agent, Jorge Mendes, in Portugal a few days ago in a bid to sign the five-time Ballon d’Or winner.
He tweeted on Saturday night:
“Chelsea has already shown interest in #CristianoRonaldo. The new owner Todd #Boehly met Jorge #Mendes in Portugal 10 days ago and has asked for info for #CR7, who wants to leave #ManchesterUnited.”
On Saturday, Ronaldo informed Man United that he wanted to leave the club this summer.
The former Real Madrid and Juventus star is unhappy with Man United’s current situation in the summer transfer window.
Man United are yet to sign a new player under their new manager, Erik ten Hag, this summer.
