They’ve occupied seats in the Federal House of Reps and the House of Senate of Nigeria.

1.Ahmad Lawan

Currently the Senate President. The Yobe State lawmaker has been in the house since 1999.

2.Femi Gbajabiamila

He is the current speaker of the House of Representatives. He is serving his 5th term in the house and he has been there since 2003.

1. Ali Ndume

Ali Ndume has been there since 2003, just like Femi Gbajabiamila. He has also tried to be Senate President at different times. He is from Borno State.

4.Ike Ekweremadu

Ekweremadu has been in the house since 2003, at some point he was Deputy Senate President for 3 terms.

5.James Manager

James Manager is a Delta State lawmaker who has been “managing” his career at the National Assembly since 2003. It is understood that he wants to be Governor of Delta State.

Here’s another member of the 2003 class of the National Assembly . He has occupied the positions of Deputy Majority Leader and Minority Leader.

1. Alhassan Ado-Doguwa

Alhassan Ado-Doguwa of Kano State is on the list. He’s been in the house since the Third Republic.

He is currently the Majority Leader of the House of Reps.

1. Mohammed Monguno

Big man from Borno State, he was first elected into the house as a member in the Third Republic (1992/1993). He is currently the Majority Whip of the House.

Kabiru Gaya was a member of the House during the botched Third Republic (1992/1993). The Senator has been in the #RedChambers since 2007, representing Kano South Senatorial District.

First time his name was heard he was the Deputy Governor of Abia State while Orji Uzo Kalu was Governor. Man resigned from that position after 3 attempts to impeach him. He was elected into the Senate in 2007.

This Bauchi State’s lawmaker joined the house in 2007; he even became Speaker of the House of Reps (2015-2019).

He was re-elected into the house after defecting from the APC to the PDP.

1. Khadija Abba-Ibrahim

She’s been in the house since 2007, she was even appointed as Minister of State for Foreign Affairs in 2016. In 2019, she resigned and contested in the elections to go back into the house.

1. Mukhtar Betara

Mukhtar Betara is from Borno State and he has been in the house since 2007 and in his quest to seek re-election into the house in 2023, his constituents procured his nomination form.

1. Nicholas Mutu

Nicholas Mutu is Delta State lawmaker and he has been in the house since 1999 making him one of the oldest serving lawmaker in Nigeria.

1. Ajibola Muraina Sau

Ajibola Muraina Sau representing Ibarapa Central/North constituency Oyo State.

He’s been in the house since 2007. Though,he was out between 2011-2015, he came back after a term out. He in quest to seek re-election into the house in 2023 after defecting to APC from PDP.
