Charly Boy Updates Fans On His Marriage, Hours After Hinting At Divorce

Popular Nigerian singer, writer and social activist Charles Chukwuemeka Oputa, better known as Charly Boy, has given an update to his fans and music lovers on his marriage, hours after hinting at divorcing his wife of 45 years.
The Nigerian music legend has retracted his statement about his divorce from his wife, Diane.

Recall, Mp3bullet.ng reported that Charly Boy had hinted at divorce from his wife of 45years, Diane Oputa.

The controversial singer took to his Twitter page to vent how tiring his marriage had become. He questioned how his followers would feel if he told them he was returning to bachelorhood.

He claimed that he is bored of his marriage since the older the marriage, the more difficult it becomes, and he wondered what his fans and loved ones would think if he declared that he wanted to be a bachelor once again and that only means he would have to divorce his wife.

He Wrote:

“My People, If I tell una say, after over 45yrs of marriage to my wife dat am going back to bachelorhood, what would you say? I don talk say dis marriage of a tin just no easy. The longer u stay, the harder it gets. What should I do? I tire oooo,

Taking to his comment section, a fan advised him how to make his marriage work. The fan advised him to travel with his wife, play outside and shouldn’t allow quarrels to linger.

He said:

“Epa try travel small, go play outside small before you come back, everything go dey alright, nor let that small argument when you and madam get end things or just change her car.

Charly Boy replied that he was fed up with the marriage.

He replied:

“We no get any beef ooo. I just tire”.

Taking back his words, Charly Boys stated that his marriage is still intact. He noted how his post had led many to rejoice over his marital failure.

According to him, he was only talking to his people.

He wrote:

“Because of dis my recent post. Some winche pple don begin speculate say my marriage don crash. Abegi ooooooo. I just dey talk to many pple wey think say marriage shouldn’t feel like work. Or it feels like work, we are doing it wrong. Lie”.
