Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang has extended his stay at Arsenal, as the club announced it via a live video through various media channels.
Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, the captain fantastic of Arsenal will remain an Arsenal player beyond this season as the Gunners talisman has penned a new three-year-long deal at the club.
In a live Instagram chat, the Gunners striker confirmed himself that he has signed the contract. The 31-year-old was sending some cryptic messages on Twitter which heightened the speculation whether the deal will be announced today.
Arsenal also flirted with the fans as they teased them on course to the announcement.
While announcing he is staying at the club, Aubameyang said that he feels home at the club and wants to win titles. He also added that he wants to be an Arsenal legend, and to be honest, he has already become one by signing the new contract.
“It’s finally done. I am really really happy staying here. I feel home,” the player said.
Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta confirmed days earlier that fans can relax regarding the Aubameyang situation. It will come as a huge boost to the Arsenal manager who has turned things around since his arrival last December.
