Starboy Terri, or simply Terri, is one of the few musicians to have earned a name for themselves in the music industry since the year 2020 began.
In May, he released his long-awaited EP “Afro Series.”
Terri is presently signed to Starboy Entertainment, which is owned by Wizkid, one of Africa’s most famous musicians. Wizkid, Sarz, Northboi, and other renowned artists have collaborated with him.
Terri was born on May 27, 1999, and his real name is Akinre Terry, from Edo State, but grew up in the Lagos neighborhood of Ifako-Ijaye. He is the eldest of four siblings.
He said in a recent interview:
“My three younger siblings look up to me, which is both a source of pressure and motivation. I have to shield kids from the harsh realities of life, which is why I try to make bad situations seem better”.
Before signing with Starboy in 2018, he was a student at the University of Lagos. He dropped out of school to concentrate on his career.
Wait Terri dropped out of school to concentrate on his career and Wizkid allows it? Why not encourage him to focus on his education as well. A musician can still further his or her education, music does not limit anyone from going to School.
Wetin I dey talk sef. Wizkid himself did not finish university too, so I’m not surprise that he sees nothing wrong with Terri dropping out of School like he did. Wizkid was a 200L student of Lead City University where he was studying International Studies until 2010 when he dropped out and went into music.

I mean who dey copy each other’s style of music and tune. Listen to Terri’s latest song “Danger”, then listen to Wizkid’s recent release. The similarity is obvious.
Something tells me that Wizkid is the one copying his boy Terri. I wish he could copy Terri’s song writing skill as well and spare us with “She Tell Me Say” all the time.
