Are You In Support Of Sunday Igboho’s Agitation For Yoruba Nation?

Talking about the disintegration of Nigeria, the Yorubas seems to the last ethnic group in Nigeria interested in this.

The reason Yorubas might not be interested in breaking away from Nigeria is not far-fetched, Yoruba people don’t like trouble, we just want to flex, make money and have peace.

If being part of Nigeria has not become threatening to the existence of Yoruba people, then we are not interested in any agenda against national unity.

What Brought About The Idea Of Yoruba Nation?

In as much as Yorubas don’t like trouble, when our peace is being threatened too much on our soil, we can bring double troubles to the table.

When Fulani herdsmen come all the way from the North to the Southwest with their cattle to disrupt our economic activities of farming, not only that they go as far as kidnapping our brothers and sisters on our soil then have the mind to ask for ransom.

The audacity of the Fulanis to attempt what Yorubas cannot do on their own soil is what pisses of Yoruba warriors like Sunday Igboho and others off.

Why Some People Are Agitating For Yoruba Nation?

Government incompetence is the sole cause of agitation for Yoruba Nation.

If a government who is supposed to protect lives and properties of the people is turning deaf hears to the cries of communities who are suffering from the menace of kidnapping and incessant killings, then it will not be out of place for them to go into self defence and even agitate for self-governance.

Why is it difficult for Buhari-led government to go after Fulanis who are committing these attrocities?

If Buhari-led government is finding it hard to clear the mess of kidnappings created by his tribesmen, then what’s the point of National Unity?

Is Sunday Igboho Doing Too Much?

Everything was making sense when Sunday Igboho started with the agenda of operation drive out fulanis from Yoruba land.

When his agenda metamorphosed into agitation for Yoruba Nation, it started to seem like Chief Sunday Igboho is becoming over-ambitious about keeping the Yoruba communities safe from the Fulanis.

His aggressiveness when calling Yoruba Leaders to support the Yoruba Nation agenda sometimes seem distasteful to the point that he once had issues with Ooni of Ife.

Obviously, not all Yorubas are in support of this Yoruba Nation agenda championed by Chief Sunday Igboho but then it’s a good call to make the government of the day serious of National Security.
