APC’s Umar Namadi Dammodi wins governorship election in Jigawa State

Umar Namadi Dammodi, candidate for the All Progressive Congress (APC) has been declared winner of the governorship election in Jigawa State.

Umar Namadi was declared the winner of the governorship election by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) in Jigawa State after polling 618,449 votes.

The candidate of All Progressives Congress (APC) Namadi Umar Alhaji scored 618,449 to beat the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Lamido Mustapha Sule who scored 368,726 votes and Ibrahim Aminu Ringim of New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP) scored 37,156 votes.

Therefore, Umar Namadi of the All Progressives Congress (APC) having satisfied the requirements of the law and scored the higher votes, is hereby declared the winner and returned elected,” the returning Officer for the state gubernatorial election, Prof. Zayyanu Umar Birnin Kebbi, announced at the Collation Centre in Dutse.
