Popular Nigerian actresses, Tonto Dikeh, Funke Akindele and Caroline Danjuma, have been unveiled as Deputy Governor Candidates for their various states.
Funke Akindele is the Deputy Governor candidate under the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) in Lagos state, Caroline was unveiled under the African Action Congress (AAC) of Akwa Ibom state, while Tonto Dikeh was unveiled under the African Democratic Congress (ADC) of Rivers state.

The nomination and announcement was welcomed with mixed reactions from fans and followers on social media.

While some opined that as controversial entertainers, they can’t make good politicians, others hailed them for being brave and bold enough to contest.
