Korra Obidi, a Nigerian dancer working in the United States, has dismissed reports that her application for American citizenship was denied.
Korra recently received a letter from the Department of Homeland Security advising her that her application had been rejected during one of her Facebook live events. As she read the letter, Korra shouted.
“Oh my God, Jesus Christ!.”
“I submitted a form for naturalization and US has considered my application abandoned.”
However, according to certain media accounts, the mother of two was refused citizenship.
Korra Obidi responded to the allegation in the comment area of a blog on Friday, stating that her application was not declined.
Her words:
“I have not been denied citizenship, with 6 million followers InstaBlog, you need to do more fact checking before you post fake news, you owe it to the public. My application was considered abandoned as I moved to my new home and they could reach me. Thank you all for the kind messages. Love you.”
