A lady comes out to narrate how a gynecologist she saw when she was 16 years old discouraged her from studying medicine even after her mother begged him to convince her to study the course.
The lady identified as @_Oyinkansolami_ on the social media platform, X, expressed this in a recollection of a conversation she had with her mum only recently.
According to her, her mom confessed that when she was 16 years old and saw a gynecologist, she had begged the doctor to convince her to study medicine as a course in the university.
Unfortunately, the doctor had spent the entire session discouraging her from her mother’s doctor ambitions for her.
The gynecologist had said;
“Whatever you do, don’t study medicine o. it’s suffering with low pay in this country. Have fun and make money elsewhere 😭😭”
Her mother on hearing the details of this conversation the gynecologist had with her daughter was very disappointed, questioning if that was what she asked him to do.

I would never advise anyone to study medicine except they are really passionate about it. Never.
