Season of change.
“Saturday Night Live” stars Melissa Villaseñor, Alex Moffat and Aristotle Athari won’t be returning to the late-night show this fall, according to multiple outlets.
Both Villaseñor and Moffat joined the NBC show in 2016 before getting promoted to the main cast two years later.
Villaseñor is best known for her role as Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez and Lady Gaga while Moffat played numerous members of the Trump family.
Athari, on the other hand, joined the cast as a featured comedian last year before announcing his quick exit.
The news comes just a couple of months after Pete Davidson, Aidy Bryant, Kate McKinnon and Kyle Mooney said their goodbyes during the Season 47 finale.
McKinnon, 38, recently opened up about her decision to leave the show after a decade.
“All I ever wanted to do in my whole life was be on ‘Saturday Night Live’,” she said during an episode of “Live With Kelly and Ryan.”
“So, I did, I loved it, I had the best decade, and then I was just like, my body was tired and I felt like it was time.”
The “Ghostbusters” star joined the show in 2012 and now owns the record as the longest-running female cast member in the show’s history.
The long list of departures didn’t come as a shock to the show’s creator, Lorne Michaels, who said the upcoming season would be a “year of change.”
Former “SNL” stars, such as Rob Schneider, also weren’t surprised by the news.
Schneider, who appeared on the show from 1990 to 1994, claimed the reason viewership has been down in recent years is due to the show’s political commentary.
On Saturday, the 58-year-old slammed the show’s infamous post-2016 election cold open in which McKinnon performed a rendition of “Hallelujah” dressed as Hillary Clinton.
The funnyman recalled watching the moment live and “praying” there would be a joke at the end. When there wasn’t, he remembered telling himself, “‘It’s over. It’s over. It’s not gonna come back.’”
