2023: Atiku Reveals Party Nigerians Will Vote For In Next Election

Former Vice President, Atiku Abubakar, is confident that Nigerians would vote the Peoples Democratic Party back into power in 2023.
Atiku stated this on Saturday, while speaking to journalists after he voted at the state congress of the PDP in Adamawa state.

He urged politicians to respect the PDP’s electoral guidelines and the nation’s constitution in election.

Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri was the first to cast his vote before Atiku and others did.

Thirty nine aspirants were earlier cleared for various posts by the PDP election screening committee headed by Mamu Alhaji Mohammed.

Meanwhile, the Chairman of the All Progressives Congress committee for Adamawa State, Prof Umar Adam Katsayal, has debunked claims that a court in Yola stopped the party’s state congress.

The chairman stated this at the Lamido Cinema, the venue of the congress.

He said:
“It is not true; there is no court order stopping today’s congress. You can see that the seven-man committee is on the ground and the electoral materials are already here.”

He added that they were only waiting for INEC officials to come, saying, “All aspirants are here and we are good to go.”

He noted that all the 36 positions in the contest would be challenged democratically. As of the time of filing this report, delegates were still gaining entrance into the venue for the congress.
